Counselling in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Hello, my name is Eilidh, I am a warm and friendly counselling therapist working with adults and young people based in Grange-over-sands, Cumbria, UK.

Before I became a counsellor I worked in care and learning disability settings supporting adults with their physical and mental health. Whilst training as a counsellor I volunteered for Childline, Place2be, and at a Beavement centre working with adults and young people managing loss. Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2015 I worked for Barnardos as a counsellor in schools and children's centres. I have also worked on platforms such as Betterhelp and Mable whilst also growing my own private practice in Cumbria.

Since completing my training I have continued to develop my way of working thus tailor my work to the client. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics which can be found here.

Speak in Confidence

I have always been interested in, and enjoyed helping people. I was drawn to counselling, in particular, person centred counselling, as it gives each person a place to be listened to and not feel judged, and in turn it helps people challenge thoughts, feelings and behaviour that may be causing distress.

A problem shared…

I offer a space that is separate to friends, family, work, school, a space where feelings that are being experienced can be explored in a safe way.

Counselling isn’t about giving solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes.

Make healthier choices

I am here to listen and support at a pace that is right for you. Providing a space where you will be heard and not judged. I have helped people manage issues including suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, overwhelm, disordered eating, loss, relationship problems, identity and living with autism and or ADHD. Whatever the issue causing distress I am here to support you and support you to get to the space you would like to be.
